Memory Leak
Assigned, NormalPublic

Description

So i have been playing a bunch of the new update recently and to boost my fps i have of course edited the dayz.cfg and .dayZprofile however when i start the game i start off around 90 to 120fps. after a few hours of play im down to around 35 to 45 and lower which makes me think something in the game is causing an fps bleed or something. what makes even less sense is that i didn't have this issue on .61 and i have dayZ on an SSD. PLUS i have a gtx1080 paired with a i7-4790k at 4.4Ghz and 16Gb of RAM.

Also when i start the game i do not have a mouse cursor as i normally do in the main menu. i must alt+enter to get it then alt+enter again after i get into a server to get the mouse cursor again.

Hello Pandemic4444.
Do you also experience these issues without editing the dayz.cfg? And are you using any startup parameters?
Regards,
Geez

Actually im not using startup parameters and if i didnt edit the file i couldn't run the game. what i mean by that is 500000 scene complexity and a render distance of 2500 is too much even for someone with a gtx1080.

Hello Pandemic4444.
Can you describe more in depth what do you mean by that you could not run the game with the default configuration? As internally we are running the game even on setups that are below the one you are using with the default configuration and It definitely should be possible for you to run the game even without tweaking the configuration files. Have you tried to delete all the files in the C:\Users\*username*\Documents\DayZ and let the game generate new ones to see if it has improved anything?
Regards,
Geez

i can try but to get more than 20-25 fps i *must* edit the 2 documents.

Oh i should note i am playing the game in 4k. 3840x2160 and ive tried 4096x2160
(4096 isnt as good as 3840 for fps. i gain about 10fps at the 3840 res over the other one.)

Yea so it looks like it still gradually drops fps over time.

Thank you Pandemic4444.
The issue is most likely caused by the reworked map due to the map containing more objects than it previously did and also due to some optimisations for the map not being in place yet. We are working on the performance optimisations internally and they are going to be implemented in the future major patches.

Geez

Ok thanks for the help. this issue is my only complaint of patch .62. well this and the missing cursor that sometimes happens.

Still no patch for this memory leak? Honestly i would have thought this would have been fixed by now. This is literally the only issue i have with the game atm.

Well that and there is a small issue that when i join a server it relaunches the game so i must click play basically twice.

Hello Pandemic4444.
The performance optimisations are still being worked on and as I have mentioned earlier, will be released in the future major patches.

thank god. i was getting worried. i love the game but this is practically the only current issue. thanks man.

Hey after learning that 0.63 is now delayed til next year i wanted to check on this ticket to ask WHEN is this memory leak going to be fixed?

Hello Pandemic4444.
While we understand that this may be an inconvenience to you, there will not be any performance optimisations added into the game until the 0.63 patch as it would be too problematic and time consuming to implement into the current version.

Geez
