Description

On my system this problem/crash occurs on 0.63 experimental as well as the current stress test #31. The log files were created while trying the stress test.

When I start normally over Steam:

When I start DayZ_x64.exe as administrator I am able to get ingame. When joining a server, DayZ crashes without an error message. After that the game restarts and I experience the same as when starting it over Steam.

Same here, exactly the same symptoms and error message. None of the classic fixes work. This includes:

Disabling Antivirus
Taking ownership of the dayz folder/file
Running BattleEye/Steam as administrator.

I tried removing 0.63 completely, with its folders in Documents and AppData, plus BattleEye in Common Files, reinstalling 0.62 - still get the same error.

Getting this issue too, no luck with any of the suggested fixes from other forums such as reinstalling BE, deleting exe's and rechecking files, running BE or steam as admin.

Everything worked fine last week so something that has changed in the last 5 days has caused the problem.

Oh, this looks to have been acknowledged as a BE issue and will be fixed on Monday apparantly: https://steamcommunity.com/app/221100/discussions/1/1729828401672712275/?ctp=2#c1729828401675444042

Hello everyone.
A fix for the issue for the 0.62 client has been released now. Can you please try and let us know if you are still experiencing this issue?

yes still experiencing this error patch didnt fix

OK, it's fixed the issue for me - but I've only tried 0.62 yet.

But before reinstalling I ran Uninstall_BattleEye.bat file from ../DayZ/BattleEye folder, then I unstalled DayZ via Steam, then I checked Documents and AppData for any DayZ files and folders, then I checked Common Files folder in Program Files (x86) for any remnants of BattleEye and only after that I rebooted the PC and installed DayZ via Steam.

It works now, but for some reason it runs 32 bit version by default (not a big problem).

Hello theyowi.
Can you please try to remove the contents of your C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\BattlEye folder and also the BattlEye folder located in your game client, verify the game cache in Steam and then let us know if you are still experiencing this issue?
Regards,
Geez

Win 10 x64 1607. Just as I've said, not a big issue, I can start what I need manually, and in 0.63 32-bit client simply doesn't exist at all, so not a problem.

Hello again and thank you for the updates.
Please contact BattlEye support at https://www.battleye.com/support/ and provide them with as much information as possible, as they would like to take a look at the issues you both are are experiencing.
