Memory Crash
Acknowledged, NormalPublic

Description

I keep having this bug since .60 has come out and it has not gotten fixed. It started when I would play for a long time and only when I tried to exit dayz, now seems like every other day at about 2.5 hours into the game I get a crash. This time it froze, I had a White screen and just spinning wheel for my mouse, then when I clicked on my other monitor dayz minimized an there was a box that had some .dll files and at the bottom asked if I would like to retry, abort, ignore. After hitting ignore I got the normal memory crash file I get at shutdown and the game then crashed.

Seems like when the game crashes I am around people or in a battle. Then it is hit or miss for the memory error upon exiting.

Hello theclassifiedrebel.
Please upload the contents of your C:\Users\*username*\AppData\Local\DayZ to some kind of cloud site, from which we can easily download the files.

Geez

Hello theclassifiedrebel.
To properly analyse the cause of the issue, we require the .mdmp files located in C:\Users\*username*\AppData\Local\DayZ , as i have mentioned previously, please upload these files onto some cloud site, which we can easily access. Also, try removing the maxmem and maxvram launch parameters, as we do not support any launch parameters and they cause various issues within the game (such as crashes or stuttering).
Regards,
Geez

Well the lanuch parameters where put in after I had the issues to see if it would fix them like it did in .59, so taking them out will not change anything at all. I even heard that taking down the steam fps counter will help but it didn't do anything. The only reason I do not put that file in is since it has my real name in it and I will be keeping that out of the gaming world as long as I can.

Hello theclassifiedrebel.
Are you certain you are looking into C:\Users\*username*\AppData\Local\DayZ and not C:\Users\*username*\Documents\DayZ ? As the appdata should not contain any files that would have your name in them - especially not the .mdmp files.

Geez

When I hit the upload it pulls that folder up in a web brower and it shows the location which has my username at the top. I can look at it again once I get on my computer later.

It would not let me put the .mdmp files in keeps telling me "No configured storage engine can store this file. But these are the files from the crash, the 11:16 one is from the crash that I talked about above.

@theclassifiedrebel, @razazel said that the MDMP files cannot be uploaded for security reasons. You will have to zip the files before uploading them.

Nope, still says the same thing

@theclassifiedrebel, try uploading the .ZIP file to a file sharing service such as Dropbox, Microsoft OneDrive, Google Drive, Mega, et cetera and then link to it here.

@LeeHime, both of your download links are not publicly available and thus the developers will not be able to download your crash dumps. Could you make them public?

Hello LeeHime.
Please create a separate ticket, as the cause for your crash might be different from the poster of this ticket. Also, we will require the .mdmp files as well.

Geez

Okay, thank you !
