For some reason, the Blackfoot has very poor collective responsiveness and also has very poor zoom climb performance. These two characteristics make attempting to perform auto-rotations in the Blackfoot extremely difficult to the point where it's almost impossible under typical conditions. I am able to reliably perform successful auto-rotations with all Arma 3 vanilla (and Heli DLC) helicopters, the Blackfoot is the odd one out.

Simply practice performing auto-rotations with the AH99 Blackfoot with engine failure. You can use the following Steam Workshop scenerio to practice auto-rotations: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=167626690&searchtext=autorotation

Actually cannot confirm . Im flying with a hotas set (stick and torque control). My rate of successfull auto rot is about the same as with others exceot huron and mohawk, they are easier.
Interesting, I take it you have analogue input control for the collective due to your hardware setup? That maybe the key, I (as well as the vast majority of Arma 3 players) have to rely on using standard keyboard control for the collective (default Q + Z). This means that using digital input (keyboard) for the collective relies on the developer set sensitivity curve (the player can't manually edit) for that particular vehicle.
In this case, I think the issue is, when relying on mouse and keyboard controls, the collective for the Blackfoot is very slow to respond compared to all other helos which makes auto-rotations extremely difficult.
Could you test to see if you can perform auto-rotations with the Blackfoot using just mouse and keyboard?
I cant :( thats why i have a flight gear. (Seriously thats the reason why i bought it....)
Im missing the control of the control elements. Like negative torque.
