APEX. Vehicles can not be destroyed on the water.

Description

We have two modes of missile launch:

  • manual capture of the purpose
  • automatic capture of the purpose

With "manual capture" the problem isn't present.
In "the automatic mode" there is a problem. Trajectory of flight of the rocket
on start the normal. On approach to the purpose the rocket very low nestles on the earth. It is a problem, you can't hit the target in some situations. Any obstacles in a way to the purpose cause explosion of the rocket on its way. Low bushes, fences, water (floating equipment in water) create an obstacle. Everything that has height, above the middle of height of equipment creates an obstacle in you weed rockets to the purpose.
Reconstruction of flight of the rocket to the purpose is necessary. Now it occurs approximately so:

When you shoot at the sea purpose, the rocket doesn't reach to the purpose. At distance of 50-100 meters to the purpose the rocket dives into water.

It creates difficulties in game where your fighting stock is limited, and your shots can be not effective.
In the automatic mode of missile launch, the rocket has to fly up to the purpose from a high trajectory.
For "manual capture" it is possible to leave a trajectory as now.
For "automatic capture" It is necessary to change the existing trajectory of flight of the rocket. Or to make possibility of switching, between two trajectories of flight of the rocket, "high" and "low" trajectories.

Duplictae. What you want is actually a top attack mode. There are already about 100 Tickets for that.

I don't see actual tickets of repetition. In a patch 1.60 conditions of guidance of rockets changed. It is done by the titan not effective, even in the simplest conditions, as shown in video. 16 rockets on one purpose, it isn't ridiculous.

I agree this launcher was not meant for a top down attack or curving around objects.

The interface changed not the way the rockets take. So thats still the same issue like before.

What solution you see? Rockets don't reach the purpose. Video. Appointment of the Titan - flies to frighten?

My desire to be able to hit a target on the water.
For me it makes no difference what is the trajectory of a rocket. This is my basic proposal to resolve the problem solution. And how to solve problem-anti-material on the water, let them decide for themselves.
Rocket aims to the geometric centre of the goal. The center of the goal always under water. Rocket blows up always on the water.

You change the name more often than the devs reply on other tickets. The problem doesnt change so the title doesnt have to be changed.
The status "Feature Request" was given by an admin so he had his reasons.
Just change the title to "Flight trajectory of the Titan AT is not optimized for destroying amphibious vehicles." And leave it like that.

Question on toolpath "Titan" rockets me interesting. And he can wait for a solution. Issue hitting amphibians should not wait.
Tank also shoots in water. How to deal with this, change the trajectory of the projectile gun:)?

The problem is the way the firing systems in Arma work. Every target is more or less a lockon hit box and a point of aim (that is the middle of the box) so the middle of the vehicle is under the water surface. But thats the point where the rocket will try to aim at. The solution is either use "dumb" projectiles like a rpg or a cannon and aim at the higher part of the tank or let the rocket hit in a higher angle for example with the top attack mode or by standing on a higher position.

The second thing is changing the title 10times a day doesnt make the devs work faster (thats just a myth)

@oukej Hi. Since the Titan rocket received the TOP mode, there is no problem hitting the target on the surface of the water. Thank you for correcting this ticket. Close this ticket.
