Bipod deployment
Closed, DuplicatePublic

Description

I've read about player sinking into the ground when deploying weapon, but this error seems slightly different. On the Stratis map, at the small town near the airbase, there's a street that cuts across the town (parallel to the overflow canal). At one end is an open garage near some concrete barriers. If you go prone in front of the garage opening (in the dead leaves), then use your bipod, your character's body takes an odd angle and nearly disappears under the concrete.

Go to location in description, go prone, and deploy bipod.

Additional Information

Did not occur prior to addition of bipods. Most locations do not exhibit this behavior. No error message. Tested in Editor "play" only.

Hello,

can you please add some screenshots of that behaviour, the location and GPS coordinates for easier steps of reproduction?

Best regards

No idea how to post screenshots, but in-game coordinates are 031060 (0312 0603). I said "dead leaves," but it looks more like dirt to me now.

Arma 3 bipod exsploid.
You will find many places where fastening of Bipod, works the mechanism - to hide a body in texture. The point of fastening of Bipod makes fastening of a body to the same surface, where Bipod. In places where there are layers of two (and more) surfaces it works so:

The mechanism of fastening of Bipod needs to be changed. To unite questions with a forum subject.

Add the ability to adjust length of bipod legs.

This way of fastening of Bipod, makes success, at fans not of a fair play.

Lex thanks for the video.

I was able to reproduce these issues with the latest development branch of Arma 3 (no modifications activated).

I hope that these strange behaviours become solved in some time.

Thanks Lex. Well captured.
