Are you using old or new UI and did your character die on ladder when this occurred ?

Reported this a while back #27011 if it helps - With the old UI, you can see the inventory but you can't access it. The new UI does allow you to access and re-equip from you past character.

with the new ui, never had it with the old one.
no, no ladder, gunshot- and meelemassacres.
was equipped with a few things, shotgun, firefighter axe, some cloths, and each time i died, i could reequipped myself with rags (through "use"), weapons (through "take in hands") and stuff you can split (e.g. ammo, armbands, etc.).

I have a really silly question.

How to change UI to a new/old version? I've been looking for that option in menu but I haven't found any.

I'd like to test new UI if the one I use now is the old one and it seems it is as it is similar to the one from Q1'14.

The ui can be changed by adding launch parameter -newui.

with new-ui its really easy and as long as you wish to use.

I can also listen to the voice chat in the vicinity of my most recent dead body when I reapawn until, what seems to be my old dead body despawning.

Additionally it is possible to use items that were in my hands when I died after respawning such as rags.
