(Experimental 0.50) - Stuck running/walking

Description

When running / walking around, the character is usually stuck walking/running in random direction. Stops when you either tap or double tap in the direction your running/walking. Usually happens in towns (Electro) and always when in buildings, but also often in the streets. Not so common when running outside the town. However the game is unplayable at the moment. Not happening for all the users, a couple of friend does not have this problem.

Yup. Movement is way more clunky and I lost control of it quite frequently. Damn scary, it happened to me once at the top of the red farmers shed, the one with the scaffolding at the top.

Haha, your character was stoned due to using some of Dean Hall's weed before you spawning in(the one he uses when working on the game).

Just kidding. This also happened to me and it seems to happen due to large ammounts of players online, which kinda makes the server laggy.

If you press the sprint button first and then try to move forward, your character won't move. (this happens when your char takes its own path ~ aprox time)

I played on a server with about 6 people on it. I played on it right before it restarted and right after it restarted. Same symptoms.

Same here, one scenario was I spawned near a school so I went in, then the auto run decided to make an appearance and I could not stop then I eventually got up the top auto-run stopped and I started walking agin phew....... thank frig for that! But then when I got off the ladder, frig the auto-run started again but backwards, it ran me right off the school and I died!

2nd scenario was when I was being chased by zeds, found a house or two and I quickly opened the door and ran up the road and back, got into the house and for frig sake auto-run started and I could not close the door so I had to run out else I would of died by zeds. I died so many times due to this bug........grrrrrrrr

So unplayable and very frustrating

Same issue. Using Razer peripherals if that helps. I can't effectively play currently.

Hi Andy,

I have a feeling it happens when running through doorframes and up stairs and ladders.

Just what I observed just now.

Hard to play the game though with the current loot and hunger issues =o(

EDIT: Scratch that. It also happens out on the open field

Update:
you can reproduce it while holding a movement button, fast!! turn the mouse to the left/right and then back to the center while you stop pressing the buttons, and you will be stuck in your movement animation

update2:
shaking your mouse like a circle while stopping from moving also reproduce this

iam no expert but it looks like it dont go into the stopping animation and will continue to play the walking animation...
still testing to abort the stopping with other things like going over sidewalk end, no clear results yet :/

I can reproduce the problem if i press two movement buttons (like w & a) and then make a fast turn with the mouse
