Once eating a huge Zucchini, i popped unconscious of starving after like 5 mins. Eating a can of some meal was however keeping me up and running for a MUCH longer time.

food and drink items can give you both, energy and water...
as zuccinis consist mostly of water and are not so very nutrious (irl), they grant you much water and less energy.
let's have a look at the real life figures:
fresh zuccini has about 17kcal/100g
whereas Heinz Beanz have 79kcal/100g
thats about 4.5 times of what the zuccini has
so in case the zuccini does not weight 2kg it's just realistic beans(or other canned food) keep you running for longer
also always eat/dring until you are energized/hydrated or get stuffed
Well i'm not an expert on starvation to death but what i mean when close to death and eating a big zucchini, it should have a bigger kick rather than turning me dead after some minutes. :( Nutritions consumed should have an exponential effect at this phase.
This is a game, and works over mechanics.
Take a look in http://dayzintel.com/dayz-stats/food-stats
a Fruit_ZucchiniFresh has 51 of energy, and 306 of water
Canned food energy can be between 107 (Food_CanTacticalBacon_Open) and 1359,6 (Food_CanPeaches_Open).
If you get energized and hydrated buffs, you can run from coast to extreme north without eat anything.
No he's right. The fruit and vegetable is definitely too low.
Werneq, your stats prove it.
A full Zucchini has 51 energy and a can of peaches 1359?
Meaning you'd have to eat 70 Zucchinis to get to where a can of peaches is. Surreal.
Bananas are just as bad. You can eat three bananas and still be "hungry"
In real-life, if you eat three Zucchinis, you're more than just "stuffed", you're gonna puke the stuff up.
The entire food system needs tweaking. You also shouldn't be able to eat raw rice or potatos.
