1 - Have 2 handed weapon in hands
2 - sprint towards steep hill/stairs (anywhere that the character would normally start to slow walk)
3 - Hold "g" key just before the point of slower walking
4 - Watch as you sprint full speed up the surface

Sure I'm aware of not being able to sprint upstairs or uphill like on a horizontical level, but I think the way the "walking slow upwards" is not smooth & fluent in progressive movements. Thats what I wanted to say. It should be able to sprint a bit, like you can in real life, but then get tired quickly and have to slow it down.
As the status is today, it feels like being trapped when you're chased by a bandit/zombie and have to slow down right as the hill/stairs starts.
I think you know what I mean ;)
Acco please keep issue 0013839 in mind, since it is either very closely related or maybe even the same bug/glitch.
Difference is having _anything_ in your hand not just a weapon
Yeah, this happens in current Stable with water canteen in hand, x2 tap run, while holding W hold G, let go of G, run up hills.
Helps so much when having to treck across map with no cars but yeah, bug non the less. Good bye times of having to run up hills in races with Bambies :(
