upagumtree added a comment to T84054: recent update fails to install.

See screenshots - something is trying to install but never does. I don't recall ever selecting 12Gb of workshop addons so don't know what that is about. The small 200Kb install never completes from Disk. Is there any action i can take to uninstall the files as one must be corrupt.

Have not played for a while because of this issue and the hacked multiplayer server issue. Can still walk 'inside' defensive walls for example by pressing 'v' - instead of stepping over them, I step into them and then get trapped.

I have problem when walking on rocks - get stuck and no key movement - only in multiplayer.

XEnSei, you must realise that there are many customers who CAN play ARMA without any problem and they need to provide support for those who ARE enjoying playing the game. Nevertheless, those who have OUR issue will continue to demand a fix - 2000+ reports is clearly a major issue that cannot be ignored. It could be due to the game engine as some hypothesise and so it can only be fixed with a replaced engine. Interestingly, I have not experienced this Multiplayer issue with any other videogame title I have purchased in 10 years, so something is clearly conflicting with this iteration of the game. I have found the Campaign (newly released) does work without lag or crashes (fingers crossed) but multiplayer is impossible to play still. I am sure they will get there in the end. If not, getting a refund on the game may be the only option if it is not fit for purpose.

I am just trying to get a handle on this problem myself (long-time player of OFP and disillusioned player of ARMA because of this persistent issue)and would appreciate feedback for the following fixes:
Windows 7 Disable Aero Shake fix...
CodeBag's CPU Unparking .exe file...mentioned in Steam's community ARMA3 forum.

I have this low fps problem even in SP scenarios as well as MP games.
I think the community needs to rally toegether and give BIS an ultimatum - get it fixed by this time 2014 or refund the cost to every player affected. I waited long enough through Alpha and Beta stages to see whether a fix would dramatically appear but it hasn't. The game clearly has not been optimised for many customers and we have the right to a full refund if the product does not work (or works so intermittently that the fun of playing is lost). If someone sold a football that had to be pumped up every 10 minutes they'd be out of business. I do not wish that for BIS because I feel they have made a great effort to bring an excellent pc-based game onto the market despite the huge market for consoles. However, in the light of their unwillingness to 'come clean' about the problem, pending litigation may be the only recourse for customers' rights. What do we all think?
