Same thing happening with my Saitek X52 Pro and an Extreme3D Pro.
Starting to see random crashes myself lately. I'm noticing I'm generally in the map when they happen. Got my first blue screen (BSOD) just now.
Nothing overclocked here. Lowest settings using a core i7 920 and ati 6850. No mods etc...

I may need to start a new issue because I'm not completely sure mine is GPU related.
I can also confirm the problem was present playing in the dev build on 30/8/13. I'm seeing it less frequently but it's still there.
I'm seeing the same thing. Not all glitching players will trigger the rotor collision. If one of the glitching players hits it just right you lose the main rotor. This most likely happens when loading people up but I've seen a chopper get off the ground before having a glitched player collision, sending everyone to their deaths.
Either the floating passenger bug needs to be fixed again or player to rotor collisions need to be exempted. Transport choppers are unusable in this condition.
I'm seeing it in Stable Build.
