@e_xil: NO idea what your problem is, but the mouse IS 1:1 right now. The lowest possible ingame setting seems just a tad fast, but it might be muscle memory from other games for me - flawless translation of mouse movement is what we asked and it was delivered.
BIG THANK YOU to the devs that actually listened!
At a first glance, raw mouse input is on and working, a big THANK YOU. Would be nice to be able to go a bit lower than the minimum from game settings, but it`s playable now. Thank you again.
@Radsr8 - http://dayzdev.tumblr.com/ . Supposedly these weeks.
@Franzuu - I need what feels natural to me, given my settings. I have Win 7 and the system setting dead on the middle, with any acceleration options off, as it should be. 500 Hz and 1260 DPI is PRECISELY what I would ever need. And since I had these settings for years now and they work in ALL FPS games I played so far, it is not MY setting, but the game. So, the game needs fixing, not my mouse DPI settings.
I am not even trying to mention the fact that, regardless of my possible top values, the actual settings are not even that "impossible" - 1200-ish DPI is a REALLY common value. By comparison, Razer Diamondback, which is no longer in production, had a 1600 DPI sensor around 2007.
As of patch 0.43.11 or what is the latest as of 1 April, on a different mouse - Razer Copperhead, using latest driver, Polling 500 Hz, DPI 1600 - same problem. Almost still mouse cursor on very fast and wide swipes.
Using Win 7 Ultimate SP1 64 bit.
@siewerts: At least it`s mentioned. Sooner or later it will get fixed. Being an Alpha, that`s all we can ask for. I had hoped it will get fixed in 0.42, though, as I am one of the many that can`t play still. One or two more months won`t kill me.
[EDIT] As of patch 0.42, it still isn`t fixed for me - SteelSeries Sensei Raw, max possible 1000 Hz pooling and 5670 DPI, running at 500 Hz and 1260 DPI.

@joulle - Aiming down sights you have 1:1 movement. That includes "Insta 180 degrees wtfpwnd headshot". That is not realism, that is a bug, by having 3.4 kg in hand AND aiming down sights movement faster than free hands. If anything, it`s a REALLY bad mechanic, that needs taken out and made "real".
@Junos - One problem: For the lowest mouse setting, if I move the mouse very fast and in large swipes, I have almost no movement on screen, as opposed to moving the mouse slowly, on a higher sensitivity setting - LO and behold, I am turning faster.
So no, it has nothing to do with realism, as it gives a clear turning advantage for high sensitivity low mouse movement users, or it is as close to 1:1 movement the less you move the mouse.
[EDIT] Just checked. As of the latest build (0.35.115188), you have 1:1 mouse movement while aiming down sights AND on vertical movement. Realism dictates that I have SLOWER movement while aiming with a rifle than a free head bob, so it IS a bug and not a feature right now. Might as well give 1:1 until it BECOMES a feature, rather than an inconsistent mouse movement bug. Also, there is nothing real in not having 1:1 in a forward 90 degree arc anyway, at ANY speed.
@hoax2 - I am getting it without weapon in hand, nor in inventory. Fresh spawn, with nothing else but starter "gear". It is a hardware problem / limitation / forced universal accel, not dexterity related.
@gray - weapon spread, or accuracy malus could be good ideas. Not having 1:1 mouse movement in 2013/2014, in a FPS game, is beyond ridiculous. I`m sure there are enough smart people at Bohemia and near Mr. Dean Hall, to come up with better solutions than making the game near unplayable for low sensitivity users. Even Arma 3 has 1:1 mouse - no reason for this one not to.
@Kaotix - There is good realism and there is bad realism. Not being able to be accurate with my mouse because of the the game settings is the worst possible realism. I understand the idea behind this "feature", but I still have 20 years of playing with no mouse accel and no smoothing, while trying for as close of a 1:1 movement as possible. I would like this accuracy present in a primarily FPS type of game.
I would like RAW INPUT too, please. I am a low sensitivity mouse user for years and I cannot make this setting to work in this game. I need my wide swipes and I need them at a 1:1 ratio.
