hitmanx1 added a comment to T84754: I fixed the 0x0000005 error, none of the fixes on your site worked, or the support..

Hey same here, none of their solutions worked for over 3 weeks and I finally got down to the same issue! Mine was a Jabra headset, another users that fixed his was a Afterglow headset. So I'm going around all the tickets for this issue and posting this to HELP the people who paid 60$ for the game and haven't been able to play like me! See below :) Have fun!

HEY GUYS! Guess what? So I've been having this same issue for over 3 weeks and have been emailing the developers and also had a ticket in the tracker BUT they have not found a solution for this yet, or better yet have not troubleshooted it enough to find the issue. Hopefully I am here to save the day and resolve everyones issue with this so I'll pass this onto all the tickets I can find. Your going to think this is the most ridiculous thing ever when I tell you what is causing this. Unplug all of your USBs (unless its your mouse and keyboard) And try the game again. Make sure you take them out before You launch the game. My issue was the Headset being plugged in the computer. WTF right? Its a Jabra headset, I seen someone who had the same issue with another headset the afterglow ones and after he said he unplugged his he didn't crash ever again. Guess what, same with me! My Microsoft wireless mouse USB is fine to stay in the computer and play the game but all you have to do is find which one is causing it. I can confirm this is the solution because I launched the game 10 times with it plugged in and every 10 times it crashed exactly like yours did same scenario. Launched it 10 times without it plugged in and i haven't crashed it 2 days and 10 hours of awesome fun gameplay online and on the singleplayer. ENJOY your moneys worth now! Have Fun! You can tell how happy I am right? Good luck!

Found out this was due to Headsets being plugged in the computer! Go figure lol

Hm, well I just the Dev Branch for the second time since I thought maybe the update could have fixed it but NOPE. Feel like maybe it was something else that could have fixed your issue because I just tried the 1.55.133106 version and immediately after the first Single Player missions video intro is over I still crash out with the same error. I'll attach it.

Hey Silentkilla, do you play on the Dev Branch or something? If not I'm not sure why my Arma 3 seems to be Version 1.52.132676 . I've had this same issue that you had for two weeks now and still have not received a resolution for it. Would be nice if what worked for you will work for me.

Good luck amnezykovic, I have had this same issue for two weeks now I've never even been able to play the game yet and still no resolution. I'm totally shocked that this many people can have the same exact issue yet not one real solution has been given yet. I understand they are trying to figure out whats causing it but so many tickets have been incorrectly closed stating "this will be fixed in the dev branch" which makes no sense anyways, like the problem with the game will only be fixed in a test version of the game? Well I tried the dev branch version also and does the same exact thing. I would love to be able to play this game. Some say I have patience to pay 60$ on a game and not be able to play it once in two weeks but yet I still haven't requested a refund because I'm convinced that this is the best War game there is. Anyways. Good luck Adam, I'm really hoping we can get this worked out soon. Then I would promote the game so much! Thanks.

You know what, disregard all that I said. I must have just had a lucky startup because it actually let me play for like 30 minutes driving around and got pretty far. Then while just cruising it crashes out with the same memory could not be written error. This error is KILLING me I have no idea how 3 computers with a fresh install of the game all do the same exact thing. Makes no sense. It would be nice if we can actually get some real solutions here. But you'll probably have to wait two days per "please upload this file" and you upload it and two days later maybe a "ok run the sfc /scannow and this should fix your problem" after you've done that 10 times already, then wait again for a few days to ask you to upload another file. This is really bad service.

Hey man, since no one seems to be resolving this specific issue and I myself have not even been able to play the game once because of this same issue regardless of installing it on 3 different computers and having the same exact error. Seems a little impossible but somehow even after re-installing it so many times I was missing a .dll from the DirectX setup the OpenAL32.Dll. I found that by running the Dependency Walker program found through one of their troubleshooting guides. Anyways after 7 days of researching solutions myself since I haven't had any help besides the general "run as administrator or re-install the game" responses like I'm not a professional tech that hasn't been playing games on a PC for over 15 years, I found someone who posted the missing .dll files for another person having the issue and I just downloaded those and pasted the OpenAL32.Dll in the Arma 3 folder in steam, the Windows\SysWOW64 folder and the Windows\System32 folder. He said only to paste into the SysWOW64 folder but the dependency walker program was showing error that the .dll wasn't being found in the arma3 folder or the system32 folder so I pasted in those too just to make sure. Well I launched the game, hopped in a humvee this time and have been driving for about 20 minutes. I usually would crash out either immediately after joining or most of the time 5-10 mins after I joined in a game with the memory could not be written error and STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION error in the launcher. Anyways hope this may help, I'll upload that file for you.

I've had this problem ever since I bought the game about 9 days ago and submitted a ticket immediately that day. I've had maybe 6 responses from the Devs but still no fix. And I only get maybe 1 response a day with basic troubleshooting steps that I did all the very first day. I think they really should have kept this as a early alpha release still with how buggy and how many people have issues running this game on gaming computers. I play ARK Survival Evolved online and never had one single issue on that game and its still in early alpha phase. Can't believe I paid 60$ for a game that the very developers of the game have no idea how to fix the issue I'm a little upset by now sorry.
