Oinky is right. The dev's are trying to simulate real field of vision. Whether that is in 1st person or 3rd person. Yes, it would be nice to look straight back. However, in real life you just can not do that. Sure I think a lot of us would love to see the ability to look straight back, but with ARMA being a battle simulation this would not fit into the criteria of REAL Life.
Minor problem, but yet should be fixed since this would be rather simple to do in my opinion.
Few friends and myself have noticed this also. Does not seem right and believe this should be corrected. Not only should the person that is being shot at close range with the 40mm grenades feel the effect the one shooting should also feel this.

The controls are relatively easy to use. For me starting to play ARMA I didn't read the manual (who needs it LOL). If the controls are difficult for a person they can be customized (set to specific key bindings) to ones likings and what is easier for them.
