Night in DayZ it's like different game: trying to light your way using flashlights and lamps, making campfires etc. Atmosphere more scary and deeper. In real life you cant adjust your eyes gamma. If some people have problems with this probably they should find another game to play because in my opinion dark and scary nights it's inseparable part of DayZ.

Also server jumpers makes no chances to find good loot..
