Let me test it with out mods today.
EDIT: Turned off ALL mods, it worked fine. I'm guessing this is ace3's fault considering it makes/uses different names and various codings for the NVGs.

This is still the case, happened with 1.50 update.

This happens to me when I try to equip anything BEFORE I go on a mission.
I haven't tested it beyond adapt yet, but I think it will effect the other ones too.
(Attempt to equip any item before mission; item dissapears and is essentailly "deleted" from anything and everything. Tested and always happens.)
