Auto Movement in Crouched Walk when making Quick turns
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

I found that if I turn quickly while walking in a crouch it continues to move my character forward even after I have let go of the Forward Button. This is a problem especially when it comes to roofs because basically if you aren't careful and were crouched walking and turned to fast close to an edge your character could walk off despite you having released the Forward button

Steps To Reproduce
  1. Enter a Crouch
  2. Start Walking Forward using the Double Tap or just single.
  3. Turn using the mouse and let go of the walk button and you will keep walking forward. ( I'm not sure what rate of degree turn is required but I did this alot when walking into buildings and turning to close the door.)
  4. Character should keep moving until you straighten out of the turn and then they will stop. Theoretically you could keep moving in a continuous circle.

Hi,

I was able to reproduce the problem and assigned it to a colleague responsible for a fix.

Thank you for your feedback.

i noticed this bug lately also, although reproduction seems possible without movement of mouse, for me i seem to get it (very frequently) when strafing with either a or d and then if i push w key at the same time and release all keys sometimes i will be stuck walking in either direction i was pressing or forward until i input in with either mouse or another movement key. large issue in terms of gameplay, will share thread in forums for up vote

This issue has been fixed internally. It will be patched with the next game update.

Thank you for your report!
