Shotgun doing random damage (it seems)
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Several people are telling, that the shotgun deals randomly very low, and sometimes more (normal) damage.
"Gews" told us, that the speed of the snaploaded-shells is lower, than the handloaded shells.
Maybe this is the problem?

I couldn't test it by myself, because i didn't have enough "spare" ammo to do so.
but there are several videos on youtube about it.

Hey survivors!

We have retested this problem and we haven't found anything wrong with the way shotguns perform. I will close this as fixed.

Near the bottom, but before the hotfix section.

@JackDant

I dont see it in the patch notes, which line are you referring to?

New patch notes claim this is fixed.

yup, dmg loss is ~71.111%.
needs to be fixed, since snap/speedloader should be an up-, not a downgrade, actually.

Snaploader has a muzzle velocity of 260 m/s

Regular pellets don't have a velocity set, so end up inheriting it from the magazine base class, which is 900 m/s

Quite a big difference
