confirmed, spray painted mosin with pristine attachments and it disappeared.

confirmed that after the mosin being paint, the rifle was basically thrown away to the ground a few feet from you. look like it went missing if you in a building as it will be thrown outside. After paint, the rifle can only chamber 1 round at a time instead of 5.

Painted a mosin black, and it ended up floating next to the building I was in at the time.

Had the mosin on my back and painted it green with no problem, then applied the black spray and the mosin disappeared from by back and could not be found again. Mosin had the bipod attachment on it.

Okay, found another mosin. I still had the one i painted black. removed all the attachments and removed the chambered bullet (had the mosin glitch). Painted it green and it did not leave my inventory ( now cammo). Well i don't have any more paint to try on the new mosin. Need try to paint the new mosin with no attachments or bullets to see if that reproduces the bug.

Tried painting my mosin twice (once with green and once with black).
Gun didn't disappear, but it teleported maybe 10-15 meters away through walls both times.

Had the same problem my mosin painted it black poof gone and found it outside the building i was in a range of 5 to 10 meters

Confirmed this behavior as of 26/01/2014.
Applied black pain on mosin on the 3rd floor of an industry building. The mosin disappeared. The mosin had the compressor, PU scope, and bayonet. It was later located 10-15 meters north of my location but was floating in the air. Had to stand directly under it to retrieve the rifle.
I believe the act of the game spawning the newly painted gun which is supposed to be now located at your feet, is now spawning the gun 10-15 meters north of your location. I haven't tested it because i don't have any more paint.

Confirmed this behaviour.
Moisin with compensator fitted. Sprayed with green paint.
Disappeared entirely (had a good hunt around area).

Can confirm the bug. I could reproduce it 3 times +1 when it originally occured.

I was first trying to paint my Mosin black which worked quite well. After a short back and forth movement of the now black Mosin, the spray colour was applied without any inconvenience. When i found a green spraycan and tried the same as befor, my Mosin disappeared.

I therefore tried to examine and reproduce the bug with three other Mosins and hence started with a green spraycan this time. Same result. The Mosin immediately disappeared from my inventory.

My third try was again with a green spraycan while the fourth one was with black colour again to see whether it occurs in a random manner oder is related to the colour of the spraycan: The green spraycan again triggered the loss of the equipped Weapon, the black spraycan didn't cause inconvenience. As described in my first colouring attempt, it stayed in the inventory the whole time and the colour apllication worked fine. To not loose another Mosin, I had to ignore the little scientist I am^^

In order of this testing session, i could also notice and reproduce two other bugs. First one is the painting related ''chamber'' bug, that allows you to only reload one bullet after spraying your rifle. This occurs after reloading your recently sprayed Mosin for the first time, while the ammo stays in the rifles chamber after spraying an already loaded noncoloured Mosin.

The other bug isn't ''game breaking'' but should be quite easy to fix. Changing the server seems to affect the condition of both kind of spraycans. After collecting one and either directly store it in your inventory or put it in a small protector case and than logging off and joining a new server, the filling level is reset to 0%. Reproduced this like 4 times.

Painting an object shouldn't teleport it to the ground nearby, should stay in inventory. This really is a bug.

Confirmed painted found 2 mosins painted both one in inventory and one on the ground both dissappeared

Edit : Mosins can be painted if there is no ammunition loaded and no attachments on it / if theres ammo inside or an attachment on it they dissappear

In version 0.35.115188, I spray painted an M4 in the inventory and it disappeared temporarily. It finally came back. Spray painted it black.

spray painted m4 MP Handguard green, hanguard disappeared from M4 model and attachments.

later, found a new hanguard to replace it, and when I applied it the original one appeared in my inventory. apparently it had gone invisible when painted
