Infinite bags
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

When you place a 35 slots bag in an other 35 slot bag, it takes 25 slots.
So you can put a full 35 slots bag in an other, and have 10 slots more for other items.

So you can repeat that and have infinite slots.

And it's the same for some clothes, which take 6 slots in a bag, but contains 8 slots. So you can combine all that to have infinite slots.

You can repeat that and have infinite slots.

Additional Information

Could be good to change the size of the bag in an other by the % of free slots in this bag.

An empty 35 slots bag could need 30 slots empty, 35 slots when it's 50 % full, and 40 if it's 100 % full.

If the bag you put in the bag was emty it could use less space in another bag. But if the bag is full, it should take exactly the space that it has.

hope that makes sense.

@ Epocx : It makes sense, but a full bag takes more space than the space an empty bag can contain. :p

If a full bag would take exactly the space that it has, you could take a full bag, and put it in the same empty bag, and put this one in the same empty bag...
And have infinite bags. ^^

And @ Zombitch : This bug is different, it's not a bag which disappear, but infinite space by combined bags.

Or a 35 slots bag could take 20 slots when it's empty, 30 when it's 50 % full, and 40 when it's 100 % full. Would be a good thing.

Because an empty bag can be compressed, but a full bag can not.

Yo Dawg :D

Confirm that.

Simple solution, don't let use put bags inside of bags, or clothes inside of clothes. Limit one item type per person. Problem solved. I know it might not be "realistic", but for game mechanic purposes and the way the game is "intended" to be played, this would work perfectly.

@ Felix : that's right, did not see that.

@ DeadlyDanDaMan : "35 slots bag could take 20 slots when it's empty, 30 when it's 50 % full, and 40 when it's 100 % full. Would be a good thing."
This solution is not so hard and is a good way to have a realistic inventory.

Or 15 when it's empty (3x5), 25 slots when it's 40% (5x5), 35 slots when it's 80 % (7x5) and impossible to stock the bag in an other when it is full.

#0001109 has been solved, so this one should be solved, too.

Sure, good thing if it is.
