Event Timeline
Same here. R9 290's in crossfire. Only one graphics card in use, changing crossfire profiles in catalyst control center doesn't help either.
I am also running 2x MSI6970 and have the same Problem.
I am also running a QHD screen and the game doesn't automatically recognize the resolution!
Same problem with Crossfire.
Currently as the game is.
The non support of Crossfire actually causes spikes when the PC tries to use two cards and the game denies it.
So until they support crossfire using crossfire causes problems and reduces FPS.

Considering Arma2 works and Arma3 works It cant be too hard for them to pop into the other room at work and say hey gimme the files I need to make crossfire and sli work on dayz please... can it ?
I expect to be able to report the lack of crossfire support on the feedback tracker without someone thinking this is a forum and pointing out its and alpha :)
True but I am letting the devs know of the non existence of the 2gpu support via the correct system.

Just an FYI, if you use NVIDIA there is a workaround to allow SLI support using NVIDIA Inspector. Just download that and add the DayZ.exe to the Arma3 profile and you're set.
It is a mystery to me just how much work is laden on the cpu and how much work is laden on the gpu.
Does Bohemia Interactive even know how to have their game make use of multiple gpus?
I would think that antialising at least could be improved with a dual gpu setup.
Edit: I see now that GPU-Z show that both my 7950 cards have their core working almost full speed.
Work around for the AMD crossfire
In your catalyst control center.
goto gaming
then 3d application settings
then ADD a new profile
select your dayz.exe
then in crossfire mode select Use AMD pre-defined profile and select the ArmaA2OA.exe profile and save.
restart dayz and you should now have 2 cards working.
Messiah23 - so we shouldn't report bugs att all because it is an Alpha?
BL1P - Great it worked!
Yeah Grumpy, even allowing both of my 780s to run with this game didn't improve performance at 2560x1440 as much as I thought it would. My CPU is a 3570k at 4.5GHz so I'm guessing it has something to do with that or the game is just poorly optimized? Idk.
@ Soldf
did i mention that in my previous post? No.
im just saying this issue has been around since forever...
And goodluck with fixing it fully.
But i dont have really problem with it. 45ish is decent in citys like cherno and elektro.
I'm having the same issue with GTX 690's in SLI, Will give 'NVIDIA Inspector' ago, as said above.
Hmm strange Does for me.
Did you restart DayZ after making the changes to your catalyst ?
Would this be the reason when I load up dayz on my laptop which is connected to my monitor via hdmi, it closes the video on my monitor and only plays it on the laptop screen?
This is the only game it does this for.
