Is this all servers and which versions are the servers running?

The latest version of SA and yes every server I have tried (each with differing pings/no. of players, etc.) does not allow me to connect.

Same with me, Uploaded a pic.

The server version is the same as the servers ( 0.28.113734 ), the same as my friends are using. Client and server version is the same. Ive tried to delete and download again, deleted all content from steam. Even deleted the Dayz mod, verify game cache is done and default settings, and every possible combination of settings. Same error when trying to join a server. in the top left corner i am joining the server, then suddenly the error shows. (see pic)

Would love to know if you can fix this soon, Matt! Going on Dayz LAN tomorrow :) Been the plan for a year :D

Noticed this as well. i observed :
A. Server is restarted
B. Server status isn't fully synced with server browser
C. Server is full but not showing correct status in server browser

Oxide, You think this is the problem? It is server side? Could be client side i suppose.. Got it to work?

But if its on the server side wouldn't everyone have this problem? Most people are still able to play if i recall correctly.

feels like client side. But i hate to speculate. Anyone got anything to work?

Hey guys having the same issue here
V: 0.28.113734

Probably a client side issue, if not the other players in these servers should have the same problem. Posted it on reddit to see if there are people with sollutions. Will update here if i get one.

Edit > Additional info:
More info on this, seemed to fix itself for me. Did not reboot the game or anything while even typing the above. All I did was try some more servers, eventually one let me in and I can now join all servers.

Did this work for anyone else? if yes what exactly did you do?

Not worked for me. Tried 25 servers now, did not work. What did you do Xinthian?

I really didn't do anything else then i said. Try some more servers.
Eventually one let me in and now I can join all of them.

The exact reason to this I have no clue about I am afraid.

Possible fix, read POSSIBLE!

For the "Confirmation of Changes " -- "Connection closed" message.

My exact steps for the fix.

  1. Try some servers to force the error a few times (2-3 times).
  2. Go back to main menu.
  3. Click "Change Server".
  4. Try some more servers.
  5. Still not working? Repeat and usually after having to press "Change Server" twice or so I can get into servers.

Remember though that this might have to be repeated after every game launch. Also this might not be a fix for you, just thought i'd share it since this seems to work for me at least.

This is the only thing that works for me and eventually I can join servers again.

I have no clue about the origins of this so don't ask. Please do post your experience with this and if it worked for you or not.

Didn't work for me, tried Change Server 4 times.

I'm having the same issue, can't join any servers.

EDIT: I think I solved it by making an exception for DayZ in the windows firewall.
EDIT2: Maybe not...

I can't join a single server for 2 days now.
My DayZ version is up to date / same as server.
Tried empty/half full/full servers, always the same message:

Confirmation of Changes
Der Verbindungsvorgang ist gescheitert. (Connecting failed)

I tried in Steam right click on a friend -> "Join Game", but then i just get stuck at "Warte auf Host" (Waiting for Host).

If i click on "View Game Info" i get "Server: Game status is unavailable".
I tried with and without Steam Beta Update participation, both don't work.

In the main menu i still see my old character from before the database wipe.

I have the same problem now. It was fine this morning when I got on, but when I came on this afternoon, it gave me this message. I'm using the latest version(113860).

Helo. I have some info. Not working, so dont get your hopes up. But i tried to build a new computer, with some things I had around the house.

I tried with a new CPU, GPU AND a new MB! Used the same RAM but new Harddisk.

The same error, so this is either a steam problem or a server side issue. I downloaded the game from a diffrent network, from a "NEW" computer.

My specs for old PC is : MB- asus m4a78-pro GPU- Radeon hd 7850 ghost, amd x3 720 2.8ghz

New Specs with scrap: mb- asus m3a## Gpu Radeon hd 6series, amd x2 2.4ghz

Tried with some other drivers for MB, GPU and CPU.. Nothing changes. So that tells me that this is not a local problem. I can be wrong tho.. Just wanted to let you guys know..

i have a fix..
It is pretty simple. You guys need to open up the correct ports. I had a virus blocker from my internet company. I removed that and it worked. It should work with a new router aswell. But open up your ports, and it will work. Happy hunting

Just going to add my solution here ( no guarantee it works for all ). I could not connect to any server, unless it was a private hive server ( and not even to all of them either ).

After trying everything on my PC

  • turn off virusscanner
  • updating drivers
  • flashing Bios
  • run as administrator etc etc etc..

I logged in to my modem/router ( Cisco ) and found that it had one little tickbox, stating SPI Firewall.. Unticked that, and fixed my issue, can connect to every server now! So, from. my end, it was client-side, even though it was not my game client and/or PC. All hardware, not at Steam or gameserver hardware, should be considered client side

*edit typo

@Billywob I don't know. I would have to look into it

Noticed this too on couple of servers. Almost feels like im being blocked server side via firewall. Kinda elaborate - for a gear farming server.

@CuresedMushroom
I suspected that it was my router spooking around, I'm actually quite certain that's the issue.

Given that different servers use different ports, is there an easier way to bypassing port-forwarding than to do it for every server you want to play on?

Hey everyone

I may have found a solution to all your connection problems. Like all of you I've tried all sorts of solutions and the conclusions came out negative. So I decided to try port-forwarding and it worked.I recommend only port-forwarding the ports of the server you will actually use because it's much safer. If you do not know how to port-forward, I recommend checking out a video for that.if you have any questions just write them in this thread.

Same issue.
After trying for like 20-30 times i was able to finally connect to a server (i couldn´t connect to before).

I was getting this issue, and it seems like setting up a DMZ on my router has fixed the issue for now. Not sure that's good for a permanent solution though. Port forwarding alone did not help me in this case.

@Geez I think need to close this ticket cause it's too old
