I don't use WSAD patter.
I use EDSF (one column right).
In editor when i press E i always hide/show left panel.
I really can't find in controls any conflict. I even checked in Arma3Profile - nothing.
The same hing with R (right panel).

Workaround is to set Controls->Developement->Seagul fastforward to shift+E
