Friendly AI are difficult to rearm on longer SP missions

Description

A given AI team mate will be selected in an effort to rearm them (single player) by pressing f2 etc. Then I press 6. Numerous options for rifles of the same type are displayed. Often, after being instructed to "take Katiba" they will run off a half mile to get a rifle passed ten minutes earlier when there is one laying right in front of them. Then, after getting the rifle they fail to grab ammo.

Medics are shot and do not treat themselves. They do not attend to other squad mates without instruction even after out of danger.

Side note: They sound like Kermit the frog when yelling "understood."

The easy fix here is for the AI to take the closest weapon of the designated type by default.

Another (less desirable) option is to be able to instruct the AI to take the closest weapon, "Take closest Katiba" or "Take closest Alumet RPG" or whatever.

Medics should automatically treat themselves if wounded. They should automatically treat others when not under fire.

My friend, not difficult, this task is impossible in general/
Even if the AI will find a weapon, he will not use it!

Yeah, Mickey men, I hear ya - These actions can be done they are just difficult and bizarre to do.

As far as the other list, I felt these issues as stated above can be fixed easily and without to much programming time and have the greatest impact.

Well, it could be useful also a radial menu (or something similar) when ordering a teammate to rearm.

E.g. select an AI, look an enemy dead corpse, open the radial menu and order your teammate to take X...would be faster also!
