BattlEye causes game to freeze when clicking.

Description

with ballteye enabled every time i click or press keys in the menus or playing SP/MP the game freezes up until i release the key. i can play without battleye enabled fine i have tried replacing files directly. verifying game files. updating all drivers as well as rolling back to previous versions of ARMA3. {F26439}

enable battleye = freezing on every click/key press
disabled battleye = playing single player fine. cannot go on multiplayer because servers require battleye.

Can confirm spent 4-5 days trying to fix this then disabled battle eye. hes a video for anyone wondering - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pdYtidtY2k4

THE ONLY THING THAT CAN FIX THIS IS DISABLING BATTLEYE, It only started happening after the new battleye update.

@konableurocks, that video shows the exact same issue i am having, thanks for finding it! i have no idea what the issue could be related to as many friends can play just fine, the only thing different could be hardware. what basic specs do you have on your PC?

@Bearpark Here are mine, somewhat similar. That could be the problem. My friends also don't have any problems, wonder what it is.

Hello and thank you for your ticket. Is this issue present on vanilla version of the game? Or is it only on modded versions?

@Adam, both with mods and without the issue still occurs. i tried rolling the game back to 1.44 and its still the same, with battleye enabled every key press causes a small freeze. without it runs smooth as normal.

@Adam, it's prevalent in both for me too. It could be an issue with directx, it happened After I installed an up date for that.

Are you by any chance using programs that are constantly running in the background while the game is launched? We had few issues with such applications (i.e. Sticky Password)

@Adam, i have tried clean restarts of my pc and virus scans as my first thought was a Keylogger taking up all CPU, but its Battleye. specifically BEservice that boosts CPU usage through the roof.

@Sable, if i disable all programs on startup (except microsoft) then restart my computer and run arma3 through steam with battleye enable i freeze on every keypress. if i exit the game and run it without battleye enable it runs just fine.

if i open a resource moitor (taskmanager>performance>resourcemonitor) whilst arma3 is open (battleye off). arma3 will be the highest % using application at around 20-30% and BEservice will not exist.

however if i load the game with battleye enabled arma3 sits at 20-30% UNTIL i press any key which causes arma3 to drop to 0% usage (the game freezes) and BE service raises to 10-20% CPU usage. (note: when i am not clicking BEservice remains at 0-1%.)

i am unsure what "maximum frequency" refers to but without battleye it sits at 50-60%. with battleye enabled it sits at 50-60%, until i press keys it shoots to 100% and stays there until i let go.

Please download and install a malware scanner such as Malwarebytes Anti-Malware to be able to remove it.

Anyway, if your system fails at that it might probably be best to perform a complete Windows reinstallation as your system is possibly broken beyond repair.

Okay so i'v had this same problem since the update an been sitting scratching my head untill now I finally got it working!! :) So I did two things the first of which prolly is what did it. first I scanned for malwear with IObit Malware Fighter "I recomend IObit for everything btw". The second thing I did befor retesting the game was useing IObit Driver Booster 2 "had 44 divers out of date lol". Bolth progams were free an should do the trick. On a side note I also checked the syswow64\mjcm an I didnt have the folder at all so thats deffinetly not the only malware possibly affecting arma.

I have scanned all my files with 3 antivirus programs (Malwarbytes, Total Defense Security Center, and Iobit) and have updated my drivers with the Iobit program. I then ran arma 3 again and it seems to have fixed the problem. Even though I still have the mjcm folder, so I don't know what the problem was but thanks for the cooperation everyone. I can finally play arma 3 again and am glad that this problem is fixed, hopefully bearpark can say the same soon.
