Unable to progress in Bootcamp mission Damage Control
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

In the mission 'Damage Control' in the Bootcamp portion of the campaign, I am unable to progress past the point where the player approaches a group of FIA militants being searched against the wall by the AAF. When I approach them and the screen fades to back for a cutscene, it fades back and I am standing unable to rotate or move in any way in a void only able to see they sky. Oddly, I am also able to fire a shot but only one. From here I am only able to pause and quit the game as there is no way to save or reload at this point. Each of these attempts has started at the beginning of the mission where the player boards a helicopter from the destroyed convoy. I have tried this approximately 4 times.
It should be noted that the AAF AI may be bugged, as during one of my attempts the AAF soliders were prone and crawling around where the Hunter stops. The Hunter ran over and killed one of them, to no reaction from any of the other AI present.

I am using an Acer Aspire E5-571-304M with an i3-4005U 1.7 GHz processor, Intel HD Graphics 4400 with 12GB of DDR3 RAM.

I should also note that I have mods installed and they were active during my first playthrough, but I later disabled them to no effect.

I have (hopefully correctly) attached a crash dump to this ticket in the hopes it is able to correct this issue.

Steps To Reproduce

This has occurred every time I have played this mission, and I have played it non-aggressively and avoided antagonizing the AI in any way. I have no internet access to steam right now so I am unable to test the integrity of the game cache, but I will attempt this later and update if it was effective.

Hello,
I have checked the files you attached. Unfortunately, your PC's CPU does not meet minimal system requirements to run Arma 3 (2.4 GHz for Intel CPUs is required). For more information, please visit this page:
http://arma3.com/buy#requirements

Please consider purchasing more powerful computer for optimal experience. There is nothing which can be done by our side, I am resolving the ticket. Sorry for the inconvenience, have a nice day.

I have the same issue as K-Ron. If you wait a bit in that state the mission will continue after that, and complete like normal without any problems like this.
A few things to notice:

  • Look at the screenshot. I used some 0-4 or something to say anything. It's says Jack Clark, not Conway
  • While in the dark in the sky as Jack Clark, you can NOT see or hear Conway conversation with AAF Oficer because its not going over the radio. You can only hear and see Conway and Broadway conversation at the end of that cut scene.

SUMARY:

  1. It seems like we get "moved" to another unit in this one cut scene, after cut scene ends we are back to Conway.
  2. Looks like this report is the same as #0022158
  3. Any chance to change status from resolved and double check it?
