AI squad command changes from move to disembark when map cursor over vehicle on map.
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Playing SP campaign, I've lost track of the number of times I've been commanding a squad where I've got several squad members in different vehicles. I go to issue a move command and they disembark.

This is a pain when you're in the middle of a fight and you haven't got time to faff around getting your squad mounted up and re-learning who is driving what.

AI Control / Commanding
Steps To Reproduce
  1. Goto map view
  2. Place the map cursor over empty ground i.e. not over a vehicle
  3. Select an AI squad member that's in a vehicle by pressing Fn key
  4. Note that the command in the command menu in the top left of the screen has "move There" highlighted.
  5. Deselect the AI squad member.
  6. Move the map cursor so that it is over a vehicle on the map.
  7. Press the Fn key to select the same AI squad member as before.
  8. Observe that the command that is highlighted in the command menu will be "Move there" or "Disembark" depending on which vehicle you're hovered over when you select the player.
Additional Information

IMO "Disembark" should never be a default option when commanding embarked AI squad members, it's too easy to accidentally hover over a vehicle when selecting squad members in the map, and you don't always have time to read the command menu to see which option it has selected.
