Starting Arma 3 disables all PC sound

Description

Whenever I turn on Arma 3 all pc sound is disabled. It is only when I quit arma 3 that sound comes back.

Sound equipment description is.

Asus Xonar DG sound card via optical cable to amplifier.

This problem has not ever happened before and I first noticed it after the Marksmen DLC update.

Steps To Reproduce

Also try using less channels in Arma 3. That might fix the issue.

Update.

I have managed to find the source of the audio problem.

It happens when connecting to a Multiplayer server.

Launch arma 3 main menu have sound, play a single player mission have sound, mess around in the editor have sound.

Join a multiplayer server all audio is gone.

Update Issue happens with mods and with vanilla no mods.

I solved the problem.

Had to finally resort to simply uninstalling arma 3 and reinstalling it.
