about 2-3 years ago i get my first Arma 2 gamecrash when i try to change key bindings. Dont know why this happened and when exactly cose i dont change my layouts about 6 month. i was confused and try to fix prob by myself but i tried everything. Game still crashes when get into the options\ keys. i reintall game, drivers, everything one by one to exept any other programs doing this but no. only thing that workd was reintalling windows. when it was new i was able to get into settings\keys without crashes. after couple of month prob returned with arma 2 free. and still no solution exept reinstalling windows,or editing user.config by myself to add keys i want. Then 2015 come and arma 3 was buyd!!! but i did a mistake - dont delete arma 2 free from my pc before installing arma 3. Now i have profile from arma 2 but with standart key layout and game still crashes when i try to change keys. it seems like some of my windows files conflicting with some profile files that operates with key bindings (i can use them but i cant change them) - all other game functions works as they should. So please tell me i dont need to reinstall my windows again - now it can take serios time to regain all programs i have now and i lost everything if reinstall windows cose register will be clear and every program needs to be reinstalled (and i dont have half of them as emergency copys) (tell you that just to realize how difficult it will be to solve prob this way). I buy new pc for the time i playd arma 2-3 so prob is defnantly with harware cose its all new and prob remains same. This crash didnt appear from a weeks when i reinstall windows last time but i have this prob all the way about 3 years.
