Crash on loading into multiplayer servers
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

When I join multiplayer servers I select slot and the next loading screen it crashes with error Steam ticket check failed (null) or battleye not responding which causes game to become unresponsive. This used to happen on Altis Life servers but now it effects me on King of the hill servers. I have tried everything from reinstall, reversing my OC and a 100 other fixes found on the web. The worse thing is that some days it runs fine. The .rpt's mean very little to me (sorry)

Is it related to the servers that use databases?

I am up to date with all my drivers etc

All Other games I own run perfectly as does A2.

Noticed in that .rpt I uploaded (the last fix I tried) had an ' after -malloc=system...sorry

tried with the above and it let me join, not sure if coincidence. Will check again tomorrow.

Hello,
does that mean that when you remove the parameter "-malloc=system," it runs without problem?

To clarify, the last fix I tried as per some post I found was add "-malloc=system" but I accidentally left an apostrophe at the end (') so retried with the correct launch parameter and it loaded in without crashing and was stable throughout, coincidence? I will try later with this parameter and report back. The crashing drives us mad and I know a lot of players get it with various systems.

Just to update: Played unhindered last night for 3 hours straight, on two different Koth servers I had no problems.

Using -malloc=system, hope this is a fix and not a coincidence. Will keep this updated if I get crash tonight.

Resolved for me and 3 others using the -malloc=system fix. Not had a crash since. Please feel free to close this ticket
