Frequent Crashes
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Been getting a number of crashes at random intervals. It seems to happen most frequently while flying in helicopters. There is nothing specific otherwise that seems to precede these crashes. Most of the time the faulting module reported is arma3.exe. Other players do not seem to be having this issue as often.

The DXDIAG report is included in the rar that was attached. I could not upload the included mdmp files here because they were too large (10+MB each).

The full dump files (including the mdmps) are here:

Has any progress been made in diagnosing what caused these?

Hey, we analysed the crashes. They seem to be completely random, most likely connected to corrupted hardware. Would it be possible to upload your DX Diag file?

The text file is in the original attachment. Can you clarify at all on how they're 'random'? Have you ever seen crashes like that happen before?

It means that there is a third factor connected with the crashes. We have seen similar (not same) and it mostly suggests that driver/system/hardware is not working properly. I would suggest to reinstall drivers. If that does not help, try to reinstall the system.
Unfortunately, there is nothing that can be done by us because the problem is not part of the game engine. Sorry for inconvenience, have a nice day.

Well, can close the lid on this for sure now. For future reference to people experiencing similar troubles, I found that one of my sticks of RAM was faulty. Since removing it, the game has been running well, and the troubles I've had with other games have too ceased. I was able to discover this by running the RAM-based torture tests of Prime95; Within minutes they would terminate with rounding errors. After testing my sticks individually, I found that one was defective, even though Memtest claimed it was fine.

Mass-closing all resolved issues not updated in the last month.
