Mission: "Moral Fiber" - Mission failing without a known (valid) reason
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

I have been attempting to play the mission "Moral Fiber" but I have been receiving a mission failed with the message "Failed to follow orders". This message is received after neutralizing the warehouses and moving to assist the squad. Upon disembarking from the transport vehicle my team leader issues a regroup command to me, and the mission then immediately fails, the reason given is failing to follow orders.

Two things of note are:

1)After finishing the fight at the warehouse you are ordered into a specific vehicle

2)The "regroup" order is issued immediately upon the vehicle arriving as soon as your character is disembarked from the vehicle. At this moment the team leader is in the vehicle behind you in the convoy (heading toward you), but is about 700m behind the vehicle you road in on.

I have restarted this mission from the beginning four times to try to fix this issue, but every attempt ends the same way. Unless there is something that I missed along the way I believe this to be a bug and could use assistance in fixing the problem.

Steps To Reproduce

Play the mission "Moral Fiber" normally

Upon reaching the warehouse (after the convoy is ambushed) fight along with your squad to secure the area

Once the area is secured you should receive a radio transmission from Nikos (Sorry, I probably spelled his name wrong) regarding you needing to call off the artillery strikes.

Once reinforcements arrive you are directed to board the vehicle you were in earlier (marked by a waypoint)

Once you enter the vehicle it will begin to make its way to the squad that is under attack

You will receive another transmission from "Crossroads" along the way

Once the vehicle arrives at the squad that is under attack, you will be disembarked from the vehicle

It is at this point the issue triggers. Your team leader (sometimes) will issue a regroup command (he will be in a vehicle ~700m behind your position), and the mission will fail for "Not following orders"

Additional Information

I browsed the feedback tracker forums and have noticed that other players have been having issues with this mission as well, mainly with the 360 second time limit for part of the mission. I believe that that portion of the mission occurs later on in the mission, and the time limit "should not" be the issue causing the mission failure in this case.

Hello,
are you using any mods? Also, do you play on Stable or Dev version?

I am playing the stable version of the game.

I have the mod "bCombat v0.16" which requires the Community Base Addons (CBA) to also be installed.

I had installed the mod early on in the single player campaign, and as of yet it has given me no problems.

(the mod maker has stated that the mod is designed to work in the campaign so long as a few options in the mod's configure file are set to the settings he listed in his post, which I did set them to)

I'm going to go ahead and retry the mission with the mods enabled to see if it will work, and barring that, I will retry the mission with them disabled to check if they might be triggering the issue.

TLDR = It was the mod, vanilla game worked fine. This issue should be declared as closed/resolved.

Well, I have now tried the mission several times both with the mod on and off, and can now say with high degree of certainty that the mod is (or is at the very least link to) the cause of this issue. The actual issue, now that I have seen what should happen, is that after the ambush the vehicles should move up to the warehouses but with the mod on they do not. I believe that this is causing the team leader's vehicle to stop at the warehouse as they pass it since that would normally have been the location the vehicle should have been for its next movement. I'll let the mod maker know about the issue.

Thank you for taking the time to help me work through this issue
