I believe the rain effect has been excluded from night vision.

I agree with ceeeb tried this just now, it is really a wall of rain. I don't know if this is true in real life but it is unplayable in NVGs

Fireball, why have you closed this issue as resolved?
I do not see any change in the game since I reported it.

Rain in NVGs on that video is what I imagined it would be, would be pretty cool if the rain could be toned down to look similar in game.

Sorry then, I could swear I've read changelog entry that would say that rain effect was excluded from NVG...

@KillZone Kid,
Yes, it's the best I could find but I imagine it is pretty close to worst case for the rain to be illuminated. It seems most consumer NV gun sights are expensive and not at all water proof. I suspect real life NV equipment is too noisy or blurry to see individual drops as we see in game.

@Fireball
Yes, I believe that refers to rain being completely invisible through NVG (#801), which is now fixed.

In dev build 1.65.138014, the situation has been much improved. Rain is still slightly brighter than ambient night.
