Description

Observed:
If a group at a guard waypoint cannot harm a known enemy target (due to lacking suitable weapons), the AI group leader will repeat an "group attack that..." command infinitely.

Expected:
Guarding groups should not attempt to attack a target the group cannot harm.
AI commander should not repeat any attack order more than once.

Steps To Reproduce
  1. Extract and load attached repro mission "17904_guard_WP_repeat.Stratis.zip" in mission editor.
  2. Note the player is a subordinate member of AI led group with a guard waypoint. Your group does not have any AT weapons and is unable to harm the tank.
  3. Preview Mission.
  4. Observe AI leader announce awareness of tank.
  5. Observe AI leader order "Fire at that tank".
  6. Wait about 20 seconds.
  7. Observe AI leader order "Fire at that tank".
  8. Observe AI leader order "Fire at that tank".
  9. Observe AI leader order "Fire at that tank".
  10. etc, etc....

This behaviour has been inherited from Operation Flashpoint!

Observed in official BI mission 2 of Win campaign.

Repro steps:

Thank you for the ticket, it has been assigned to our intern systems.
It is really wierd you cannot edit that anymore.
