This black border is unnecessary and irritating. I recommend something more subtle, like a small video-camera-esque timecode on one of the corners of the screen, or simply display the Zeus icon on-screen that is currently already shown when you turn off the interface in Zeus with the Backspace key.

It's necessary to visualize that you're "inside" of another unit. I don't want any other UI elements like the suggested eye or time stamp, because they can clash with HUD (i.e., weapon info, command bar, etc.).
I'll consider making the black vignette slightly subtler though.
