What context is the word used in?

The word is used on the loading screens. I uploaded two screenshots of instances of it, but I don't know if it is used more often.

I think Antic is fine when used there. "Antic" means something from the ancient Greek era.

Nope, it does not. "Antique" means that.

I spotted this and found it strange. I assumed they had attempted to invent some form of word to mean "of Altian origin."

Will be resolved in the next update, thanks for reporting!

Mass-closing resolved issues updated only last year - assuming fixed correctly.
