its obvious that the new footstep sounds are just a sample which plays when moving, not triggerred by actual footsteps.

this seems acceptable

however, the sound will play when the player is not moving i.e. you can hear your own footsteps when standing still

this is of course incorrect

happens in low crouch and perhaps other new stances

I found this problem too. If kneels down and bring you down again, you can hear the sound of footsteps as if you were walking.

To reproduce it:

  1. put a soldier by editor and hit preview to control your soldier
  2. hit "X" on keyboard to kneel
  3. hit "CTRL+S" on keyoard to kneel down a bit

Now don't move and you will hear the footsteps.
The sound reproduced depends on the underlying soil.

yesterday I played the "night"-showcase and while walking into a stone in low stance (X - key), the sound loop didn't stop after the stone stopped my character.

Unfortunatewlly today i could not reproduce it.

I found this problem too. If kneels down and bring you down again, you can hear the sound of footsteps as if you were walking.

Can you write coordinates of place, where this issue is? Write position player into watch field in debug console. Thank you.

astaroth from what i can recall it happens everywhere, mainly inside buildings, and definitely inside the barracks buildings on King of the Hill multiplayer servers

It is fixed in dev build on Steam.
When you want try it:
Right click on Arma III in your Steam Library>Properties>Betas>development build
This version may not stable and it can contain more bugs, than Stable Arma 3 Beta version.

*Please notice this is happening ONLY to middle stances (the stances who has the arrow above or beneath the soldier's icon) top right screen corner

At 0:28 of video i assumed a "clear" stance (without the additional arrow along soldier icon) and the loop is gone

I fixed it already on internal dev version, but it will take quite long time to get into public (release and all)

also i would add, it's not only in middle stances up or down, but also sideways (ctrl A/D)

Glad it is fixed! Very anoying.

Mass closing resolved issues not updated since November.
