Game laggs/ freezes/ crash in multiplayer
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Since I reinstalled my Windows I can't play multiplayer anymore. Everytime I play MP it takes between 5 and 60 min ArmA 3 will start lagging (Sound and Picture), also textures and models start glitching out. All I can do is wait and don't give the game any input and after a few minutes it either catches back up and does the same after a while or it will just crash without any error report and normally without stopping the ArmA3 task, which I have to terminate manually. Also the closed yellow desync chain will appear for a few seconds when the problem appears.

This will only happen in multiplayer and never happen in singleplayer or editor.

Edit: Since the latest DEV patch (from the 16.08.2013) this happens in singleplayer and editor too. {F21328} {F21329}

Legacy ID
Game Crash
Steps To Reproduce

Play multiplayer for some time.

Additional Information

I've tried reinstalling Windows 7 and 8 over and over again, used different nVidia drivers (Beta and normal), reinstalling the game, tried ArmA 3 Beta and ArmA 3 Beta Dev.
All drivers are up to date.
CPU usage when the problem appears is about 30%, RAM is at about 40%.
CPU and GPU are not getting over 40° Celsius.

All textures will start loading over and over again, the model will glitch into the ground and put the arms down on the sides just like the ChopperHeavy_lux_GetOut_H animation in the editors animation menu.

Do you habe hw overclock?

We need dxdiag and files from this folder for solve your problem. C:\Users\<Name>\AppData\Local\Arma 3\
Can you upload somewhere in winrar package please?
When package will be smaller than 2,097k, so you can attach here. When package will be bigger, please use some free sharing service and post link here. Thank you.

No I don't use hardware overclocking.
DxDiag is already attached, you should be able to find your requested files here:

Short addition here, whenever the problem appears, the GPU usage goes from between 60% and 99% to between 00% and 20%. The game just seem to stop using the graphics card until it crashes or starts working again.

Nothing helpful in crashdump. Can you upload more crashdumps please? Thank you.

I don't know if I can upload anymore because the game won't crash anymore it just goes to a blackscreen and task manager says it stopped responding but it won't crash so I have to terminate the task.
Also the problem might be related to the day/night cycle, because I found out that when I rapidly change the time in the camera mode in editor this problem will appear in like 2 of 3 times.
I'll see if there are more crashdumps and try to ge get the game to crash.

Thank you for your files.

You don't have to thank me for that, I have to thank you for your work. :)

Problem has gotten worse since the Altis update, whenever I try to start Altis in editor or MP the game starts having the problem in the loading screen already and goes to a blackscreen 1 min after it has loaded.

Problem solved. Solution: went from 32 bit OS to 64 bit.

Well..i m on 64 bit also but MP is still a nightmare regarding framerate.
I admit my CPU is not powerfull enough..but going from SP to's chaotic difference..

Giorgy did you try the -nologs command?

I 've made -nologs a 'standard' parameter from 1st day available :)

OK, well I have no clue then :(
