No Runway Markings
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

There are no runway designations which are used for calling-out when aircraft are arriving and departing the runway.

For example, see Runway Wikipedia showing a photo of "Runway 24" or a runway facing 240 degrees. They are denoted by tenth of degrees, so only the first two digits is called-out. {F20537}

Additional Information

If I'm not mistaken, the runway within Stratis should be designated 190 for north of the runway, and 010 for the south runway. Or, likely only one end of the runway requires marking.

Since the runways are currently statically drawn on the map, or are currently not movable, their designation should be added.

The runway has number on for the heading, “02” on the southern end for a northerly approach and “20” on the northern end for a southerly approach.

mmm... I haven't noticed it before. I'll recheck shortly.

If so, this would mean 20 degrees for south, and 200 degrees for the north. This adds up correctly.

I'm guessing this was processed during beta, because I don't think I've ever seen the markings before! ;-)

Just FYI. When I call out the runway I'm approaching, usually I'll prefix north or south heading. Guessing most haven't got a clue what's being said. Nor are they likely listening. ;-)

Shrugs. I'm not able to close my own bugs. Marked fixed in beta though.

what is wrong ? It is Ok, I think.
