AI Gunship Pilots orbit incorrectly at "Loiter" Waypoint

With speed set to "Limited" and "Normal", both Gunships orbit with their noses pointing outside of the orbit by 5-10 degrees, putting the center of the orbit beyond the gimbal limits of the cannon. With speed at "High", gunships must either bank too hard, again putting the center of orbit beyond gimbal limit, or manouever wildly to maintain the orbit. Since gunner cannot ground stabilize, player gunnery becomes extremely difficult.

  1. Place either Blackfoot or Kajman, player as gunner.
  2. Create enemy units.
  3. Assign a loiter waypoint for player team within 50m of enemy units. Try all speeds.

I don’t believe "Loiter" is for this purpose, loiter is somewhere for a unit/s to in essence wait without just ending up hovering/standing around at a traditional wait point (incomplete move etc WP) though they will engage.

Introduced in Arma 3 and makes group loiter around a position.”

So IMO there is nothing wrong because if flying around in a circle whatever is in the direct vicinity of the WP is going to be at the gimbal limits, but AI will engage threats while loitering.
