- Go to rear of the transport chopper.
- Select "Inventory" from middle mouse button menu and add a parachute backpack.
- Hop in chopper and instruct pilot to go above parachute height.
- Jump and deploy chute from middle mouse button menu.
- Upon touchdown, the game crashes.
Haven't been able to find the crash report yet. Possible it was wiped during a successive run of the game. Most players seem to be encountering a similar bug, but I see no open bugs for this issue as of yet.

I should additionally note, when the game crashes, trying to "Close" the pop-up crash notice is nearly impossible now within Beta release! Very frustrating.
I tested landing at less than 10k/hr and seem to have landed just fine.
Bug might present itself if going 30-60k/hr? (Still need to test.)
Unable to reproduce.
We need dxdiag and files from this folder for solve your problem. C:\Users\<Name>\AppData\Local\Arma 3 Alpha\
Can you upload somewhere in winrar package please?
When package will be smaller than 2,097k, so you can attach here. Thank you.
The reason you're not able to reproduce is that I am working at trying to still find the inhibitor of this bug. Please be patient. ;-)
The bug could have presented itself still in a number of ways, such as by users using mods, instigating the crash. I'm also now getting Bug #529, "Black screen on spawn" for which I never previously experienced in the past. This just started occurring after upgrading to Beta, but I also reduced all post-processing settings to 0%.
In the past, I've also experience problems trying to post a compressed file containing the folder "C:\Users\<Name>\AppData\Local\Arma 3 Alpha\". The compressed file usually runs slightly in excess of 3-4MB. During other similar crashes, I've used split to divide file to meet the requisite while somebody else posted the full file to an external file server. Shrugs.
... still testing ...
I'm testing this now, as first I had to figure out how to edit map way points, etc. (For kicks, loading the game with the CBA beta module.)
I have yet to find this crash, and looks like it may have been something with the server. Sorry, finding core files or debug files is extremely difficult on Windows! For some reason, no debug files were created on crash within the Arma 3 folder, within the "My Documents/Arma 3" or "SteamApps/Arma 3" folder.
Though, I have now reproduced the explosion on touchdown after parachuting! I think jumping out at 3000m induces the explosion crater upon touchdown. On this particular jump, I deployed the chute at around 100m after a 3000m jump and immediately deaccelerate to ~5km/hr. Exploded on touchdown. The application crash documented within this bug occurred immediately following this type of explosion, but haven't been able to reproduce on my own edited User Mission.
Init Field: this setPos [getPos this select 0,getPos this select 1,3000]
A little more testing and I find opening the parachute at around 98m and immediately reducing speed to ~0km/hr causes the jumper to die, and the game displays an explosion or crater with smoke.
Looks like the scenario is reproduced with "if chute is opened below 100m and speed is ~0-5km/hr", then game causes an explosions or crater upon touchdown with ground.
Bug #10157 "When deploying parachute server crashes." appears related however unlike this bug, crash occurred one deploy of parachute versus touching ground. Bug was also opened after this one. My bet, the crash occurs when playing on a multiplayer server, maybe with mods. However, no crash should occur with the client's executable, so something is being passed back to the client's game engine that is of an unacceptable value. (ie. value out of range, or bad variable type, ...) If this hasn't already been caught, needs to be tracked down and worked around. I'll now spend some time on the public servers, but more difficult to get people to fly as ordered. :-/
I have opened a new bug for the exploding parachute jumper here:
Bug #10612, "Parachute Jumper Touches Ground and Explodes"
Issue closed as obsolete. If you encounter this problem again, please create another ticket. Thank you.
