Allow firearms to become damaged by gunfire.
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

In the game, firearms often get hit by incoming gunfire. However, this results in no damage done, and it still works perfectly as if it weren't hit at all. There is no reaction by the player of his gun getting hit.

I don't think it really needs a damage model. Maybe make it just so that when a weapon is hit by a certain amount of bullets (depending on caliber,range and weapon) the weapon becomes unusable.

AD2001, sounds good! Nothing too complex. :-)

Perfect propose mate!
And if large calibre hit rile, player can loose it, rifle fall on groundor fly away by physx, or some similar - disarm by bullet ;)

struggling to understand that someone voted this down

Disaster, I think there's probably at least one person who votes down every ticket just for fun.

good idea. was thinking of something myself. i shot an AI a few days ago with the sniper rifle. it hit his gun...would have killed him otherwise. if it is a large caliber gun, would the round go through his gun?

@vryoffbtdrummr

I'm not really sure, but it probably would. Maybe on some parts it would, but on others it wouldn't?

Mass closing ancient tickets with no activity for > 12 months; assume fixed or too trivial.
