The Ghillie suit released today with the sniper pack is more like a Head & shoulders suit, it only covers your upper back body, which makes it pointless if you are kneeling/Standing, and almost pointless from any direction except except straight forward lying down since not even the back of your legs are covered.
Make a full body covered Ghillie suit! The whole point with the suit is to blend in! {F19732}
Actually you have many kind of ghillie suits also full body ones.
Would be nice to have both and since they already have the models
from prior games, it wouldn't be too hard or time consuming to implement.

Are you asking to cover the legs and arms or the frontal part? Actually there's all kind of versions. Why do people talk about whats realistic when they know nothing about it?
Full body ghillies suits will be added in the beta. They were shown in beta livestreams and also exist in game files.
The military usually uses ghillie suits without frontal coverage so you can store your ammo and not need to take of the whole suit just to take it.
Why people continue to argue?
different armies/units have diferent Ghillie Suits.
All you people think that it should not cover the fron part
because it will get stuck in the vegitation while prone.
while true in a way, those snipers still need to
walk and they want to maintain camouflage also when crouche/standing.
In any way, you have so many types of Ghillie Suits,
to say that front covering Ghillie Suits are not realistic is
one big BS.

I merely said you have also ghillie suits that cover the front.
It's not such a big deal to take out a mag from under the ghillie suit.

You don't need to cover the whole body while standing. It can't fool anyone, no one will think it's a bush or something. When you need to be "invisible", you just go prone.

I don't know what is going on on other militaries, but I am sure
most modern armies operate more or less by the same doctrine.
Here in Israel, while we still were inside south lebanon, (a dense flora environment)
making 100 hours (or more) ambushes to Hezbollah soldiers was a routine.
It was typically done by sitting inside a bush camouflaged and just waiting.
most of time you were just observing, actual engagements were pretty rare.
you could lie down but it was much more comfortable to sit.
people would sleep in turns, you would pee in a plastic bottle and take a dump
inside a burlap sack with a nylon inside it. you would stand sometimes to stretch
your legs. you practically lived inside a bush. you really think you would lie
down without moving for so long?
and lets not forget that one have to move from a position to position,
having a frontal cover will help the camouflage also while on the go.
Let me clear this up. Snipers take positions in many different ways. Standing, crouched, up against a tree sometimes, in bushes, on ridges, anywhere. There are many different ghillie suits. In Canada, we have many, for many different scenarios. Mostly though, they are full suits, almost like fatigues. You can store ammo in them. I've seen a sniper climb a tree and stand in the top, and i tell you, at first sight, you would never know. Never. If the front were not covered in this position in particular, on the other hand, you would probably notice. Case and point, having both variants, will be VERY realistic. After all A3 is a Mil Sim, and BI are working on making the best. Be Patient.
