So far I have found that throwing a grenade upstairs or downstairs and standing above or below it on the direct floor below or above still causes you damages and this is a pain if you use a grenade to clear upstairs or downstairs because it end up hurting you.

-Find a two story building
-Throw a grenade upstairs or downstairs and stand above or below it on a different floor
-notice how you take damage still.
