With the vest the BLUFOR suit has pockets, but the OPFOR suit looks the same with and without the vest. The BLUFOR Sniper is a lot easier to spot when you are near him if he has a vest.
I don't know if it has something to do with balancing. If so, please explain.
Note: this can only be done in the DEV version
1.Go to the editor.
2.Place a BLUFOR Sniper.
3.Observe his suit. Notice that there are some pockets.
4.Take of his vest.
5.Observe the suit. Notice that there are no pockets any more.
6.Go back to the editor.
7.Place an OPFOR Sniper.
8.Observe that there it looks the same with and without the vest.
I know the front part of the suit looks different for both with and without the
vest, but there are differences in the rear part of the suit.

As CXN2615 suggested, it would be great if you could pick the ghillie suit you wanted. Actually, the ghillie suits that somebody found in the game files ( http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=19744 ) were in multiple camos.
IMO, the differences are on purpose for a simple reason: 2 different armies from 2 different coalitions will most likely have different "way of thinking at.." for the equipment.
Also, on a gameplay side, it allows to identify (even if you must be good at spotting) Blufor and Opfor snipers by looking at the details.
It's good like this for me.

You're right. The different colours are good, I'll remove it. But, what about the pockets on the BLUFOR Sniper? He's a lot easier to spot when you are near him.
I don't really mind about those pockets but they don't really seem to be that much "camo-destroyers" to me .
I will do some tests with a friend later to check how much it actually influences the visibility at different light conditions and on different terrain types!
Based on the outcome, i'll reconsider my vote if needed :)
Ghillie suit should be adapt to the environment, choosing by sinper himself. not decided by side.
Yeah, great idea. The old ghillie suits that somebody found in the game files were in multiple camos. I'll put it into the issue.
