Event Timeline
Editor crashed again with D3D error. Was in Traditional Mode for about 2 minutes and used the mouse wheel to zoom in when crash occurred.
I saw this error to several days ago, but speculated it was caused by a bus reset initiated by static electricity after touching the mouse.
Bus resets are common after static electricity events with the mouse.
TIP: When you're experiencing static electricity discharges, always attempt to ground yourself before touching your mouse or keyboard. I tend to have metal computer cases, which seems to be a good ground point.
I did not get the "DX11 error : buffer Map failed :" message. This error is related to 0006613 & 0005356. The crash only happens in the Editor as stated. I have not played mutiplayer or gotten a blue screen as in 0005356, and my Graphic drivers have not crashed as in 0006613. Otherwise the game plays fine so far. I designed several missions in the editor and played them on 4/10/2013 with no problem, yet yesterday on 4/11/2013 I get the errors. I have not restarted or shut down my computer during that time. I have not added any addons or mods. Playing the game as recieved from Steam. I am wondering - was there a game update after 4/10/2013?
Set up a large mission this morning with the Editor in Normal Mode & played 2 hours with no problem. 4:50AM US Central Time 4/12/2013
Set up a Diver mission with the Editor in Normal Mode & played 40 minutes. Exited map to move men around and when I clicked on Unit the error occurred. 11:16 AM. I have not played since 4:50 AM this morning so this was after a fresh relaunch of Arma 3.
