seasons?...
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

ARMA has always given the option to change the time of day, the day of the month, the month of the year.
There's even all the star maps & moon phases!
But no seasons?!?...
The environment & weather doesn't visibly change depending on the time of year.
This would be the icing on the cake for ARMA :-)

you are in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea, i doubt that the seasons change much.

It can get cold and snow in Greece...
But anyway I doubt that every future ARMA map is going to be based in the med.

it's the mediterranean, it looks like that all year long.

also, cool story feral. save this suggestion for arma 4

bye.

Yes john let's all wait for ARMA 4 just for a new map lol...

But anyway like I said in my last post that It can get cold and snow in Greece...

It does NOT look like that for the whole year !
In Winter, you have brown-ish colors everywhere.
In Spring you have a mix of soft green, some white/pink foliages and some brown left here and there
In Summer you get the green land we have right now
In autumn everything starts going back to brown

As I posted in another feature issue, this isn't about Stratis, it's about adding to the weather parameters in the editor, which can be used on any map. It would be nice, but it would involve re-texturing and maybe re-modelling every single tree, bush, flower and grass model in the game (well for temperate zones at least) to reflect seasonal changes, which is a lot of workload for somebody.

Upvoting because it would be a nice feature in the future, but more important things need to be done first.
