In ArmA 2 the feature that a particle/texture that had an alpha channel value of -1 would retain its colour & brightness regardless of other rendering applied was added, so it would "glow" at night. This seems to not be functioning in ArmA 3.
As there seems to be a few hints that particles are changing for ArmA 3, I wonder if this is a bug or part of a new particle featureset for ArmA 3.
I generated some fire particles with alpha = -1 and they did not glow at night, they were rendered as per any other texture, dark.
