As above, shell caseing do not show ejecting from mx rifle with grenade rifle. (blufor grenadier). May be other models as well? Havent checked

the 6.5 mm MX weapons fire caseless ammo
so there should be no such effekt

It's not a "cop out" it's a real type of ammunition that's in development.

Caseless ammo has been around for years. Nobody uses it though, I think the HK G11 was the most promising caseless weapon made but don't quote me on it.
